In addition to earning honors in WIRED Magazine's "Cool Tools"
section last month, Samsung's HLM507W has been designated a
"Best Buy" in the current (January cover date) issue of WIRED.
In the segment, a DLP TV shootout, WIRED labels Panasonic's
PT52DL10 is designated a "Splurge" item priced at $13,000, while
Mitsubishi's WD65100 is tagged "Overrated" at $17,000. Tech
freelancer and HWH ally Peter Suciu is very kind to Samsung
in highlighting the slim form factor, progressive scan and PC
input capabilities. The strength of this hit is further underscored
with a picture of the HLM507W used for the piece which dominates
the DLP TV coverage.
This "double play" maximizes the exposure of Samsung's DLP sets
in this influential magazine written for those "in the know."
