Seoul, Korea—March 28 2003: Samsung Electronics has introduced a full home entertainment system in a single compact package for the Korean domestic market. The new SMT-29J10 combines a distortion-free 29-inch flat screen TV with a DVD player featuring optical sound output and a 6-head Hi-Fi VCR; the ideal solution for singles and newly wedded couples.
The unit does not require complicated connections among components and features an optical sound output port for 5.1 channel surround sound reproduction when used in conjunction with the appropriate speaker system.
The SMT-29J10 plays videotapes and DVDs as well as Video CDs, audio CDs, and MP3 CDs. The embedded CD Picture Viewer function even displays JPEG images stored on CD media.
For additional user convenience, SMT-29J10 supports direct DVD to VCR recording and can record TV broadcasts while the DVD player is on.
